Sturminster Newton United went down to their heaviest defeat of the season after a lacklustre display against Weymouth Sports.

In a goalless first half the home side had several chances to take the lead.  Cherries midfielder Steve Moore hit the bar with a free kick whilst Dan Carter's shot hit the keeper from close range after the ball rebounded to him in the six yard box.

At the start of the first half, Weymouth Sports took the lead but they only managed to hold the lead briefly. Within minutes, Striker Stuart Frear followed up his missed penalty to hammer home the leveller. Rather than raise their game, Sturminster Newton lost all shape and ended up gifting the opposition three further goals in the final twenty minutes and with it, the away side took away all three points.
