Alex is sponsored by Dane and Bev Gould.

Full-back Alex Gould joined the club in October 2010 after leaving Dorchester Town. He made his Cherries debut in a 1-0 win against Hamworthy United in the Magna Dorset Premier League Cup before making his league bow against home town club Portland United in October 2010.

Alex knew manager Gary Head from his call up to the Dorset County Under 16 representative side three years ago and was asked to play for Gary after leaving Dorchester.  Alex is equally adept at left or right back, but is often seen as the Sturminster Newton No.3 as he is able to use his left and right feet equally.

Alex had a major set back at Dorchester in 2009 when breaking his leg but is slowly returning to full fitness to show Cherries fans what an asset he will be to the club. Manchester United supporting Alex is a real asset to the club for the present and the future.

Alex is the older brother of fellow Cherries defender, Will Gould.
