A rare experience for the reserves this weekend we had two substitutes which was a bonus for us. The game started fairly even with both sides having chances, but in the 16th minutes we stun our opponents by taking the lead with a well struck shot by Rob Daintith his first for the club, from 20 yards curled in off the post resting in the back of the net, minutes later a good run ended with Mike Revell hitting the ball that the keeper couldn't hold the ball slipped through the hands but hit the post and out for a corner. Some good runs down the wing from full back Nick Brooks could give us our second. then in the 28th minute the Signals got there equaliser and five minutes later they took the lead, and thats how it stayed until half time. The second half started and the signals fitness started to tell within the next 17 minutes they scored three times. we kept on trying and were causing there defence some problems but goalscoring opportunities we rare. The Signals fitness during the latter stages was really telling and they scored three in the last twenty. To our credit there were some very good preformances from our players, the two lads whom played up front Rob Daintith and debutant Clive Metcalfe both had very good games and worked well with the team both have recently joined us they looked like they had been here for some time, Calvin Thomas, Rich Limm and Mike Revell did a good job down the wings streching there defence at times, Liam Newton as ever put his heart and soul into the game, Matthew Robson back from injury made some great saves and was not to blame for any that went past him. The best player we had was Chris Frear he led by example could not fault his attitude or workrate if all were to play like he did today perhaps we would not be the posistion we are at the moment.
