The started well and within minutes we had a great chance but Clive Metcalfes attempt was well saved by the keeper, we were in control but didn't look like scoring, but on a rare breakaway midway through the half Wareham took the lead and thats how it remained at half time, we had a lot of possesion but it broke down to easy we did not deserve to go in at half time down. the second half got underway and for the first ten minutes it looked like we were going to get well beaten. We then got a grip of the game and played some good football and chances were coming, eventually we got the equaliser scored by Calvin Thomas and with 15 mins to go we took the lead with a goal from substitute Rob Ford, time was going and with seven minutes to go we gave away a free kick just inside our half from the kick Wareham grabbed an equaliser, then in the dying minutes they scored with only seconds to go we tried in vain but could not score. As the final whistle went all were disappointed that we had lost you could see in there faces that they were upset at the loss, because they had played so well in the second half that they knew that they deserved a victory today.
Thankyou to all the players for the respect they gave me on saturday, not only with the black armbands but the minutes silence in remembering the loss of my son Steven, as some had been at school with him and it was great that they remembered him in that way. THANKYOU.
