Sturminster Newton United first team manager Gary Head completed the gruelling 12 kilometre (7 mile) Studland Stampede on Sunday in a time of 1 hour, 4 minutes and 43 seconds.

In the process, Gary has raised £181 for the senior side of the football club, of which £48 is still waiting to come in. You can pay over the bar at the club if you have not yet given your sponsorship money.  A reminder of how much each of you pledged to sponsored Gary is below, with an asterisk indicating who has not yet paid.

"I have to say I am hurting this morning!" admitted Gary the day after completing the course of which nearly 5km was run on sand. "I am very proud of my time - I didn't expect do quite so well, but I was running 5-minute kilometres until we got to the sand dunes! It was worth it for the money we have raised though. I'd really like to thank everyone who has sponsored me - the money will be used wisely and put to good use.  I'd also like to thank the race organisers at the Studland Stampede for their support both on the day, and for mentioning me on their website".

Gary's finishing time was 1:04:43, which meant he finished in 120th place out of 312 runners.
